Thomas ap Lwellyn (Tam, AK97) is from the Elven area in Wales (Tir ?)
Born and raised in the elven community, for an elf he is not all that socially ept. Even for an elf he is very agile.
He got suckered.
One of the many political groups recruited him, and trained him up. He was their assassin, primarily for close work. He was taught guns and clubs weapons, and given cover to take out some opponents.
What he didn't know was that the whole thing was an expensive double-cross. One of the folks grooming him was actually working for a different faction. When he was finally good enough to go after a major target, it was a setup. Fortunately, no one had realized the edge Thomas had gotten from developing some adept abilities. He managed to get out. However, his "friends" were either arrested or suspicious of him. He is not actually sure if he is wanted or not, as he fled.
In London, he did some street work, Among other things he tied up with a street doc who realized that there were some "flaws" (remote controllable blocks) in his bioware, and was able to remove them. He also managed to get in with a Krav Manga teacher
Thomas, now going by Tam, recognized some of the folks from his activites in a news report from the Tir. Shortly thereafter, an assassin came close to ending Tam's run. It seems likely that Tam knows something someone doesn't want known. Exactly what, or exactly who he does not know.
So leaving London seemed a good idea. Through his Sensei, he made contact with the organizer of this mercenary outing. And thus we find him in Dubai.
Appearance
Tam is in many ways a classic looking Elf. Not as suave or smooth as the top level folks. Thin, tall, and very smooth looking. Dark hair, relatively fair skin, pointy ear. He moves so smoothly that folks wonder sometimes if they saw him move at all.
